The first sweeper is believed to be a construction patented on September 4, 1849 in the United States by CS Bishop, it was pulled by a horse cart. Until the end of the 19th century, 315 solutions for sweepers have been patented in the USA. The first sweeper with its own drive was patented in the USA in 1868.
