The FCC in USA is about to vote to get rid of the net neutrality, letting ISP's censor and throttle websites, and charge extra fees. This would allow ISP's to throttle this site, when they don't like the idea of every student learning about robotics, technologies and generally how to think.

The FCC will end net neutrality on Dec 14th if we don't convince Congress to stop them. Join the Protest and Contact Congress to save net neutrality.

If you are not from USA you should also be alarmed. Similar policies are already in the process of implementation in the other 59 countries in which is used. We should fight for our Internet freedom regardless of where we are from.

Attachments for Box Robot for Robotics Competitions. Transfer power from the motors Pro Preview

In this video we discuss how do we transfer power from the motors that are "inside the robot box" to the gear wheels that are "outside the robot box".

Previously we've stopped at our box competition robot for the robotics competition that involves Lego Mindstorms robots and now we'll continue with how we add attachments to this robot. There are a couple of different ways that we'll discuss in the next few videos.

First, as we have discussed in previous videos this robot has two motors that are used for different attachments and you can see the motors right here. And now if I start one of the motors you can see these parts here rotating these gear wheels along with the gear wheels at the front and if I start the other motor, I can control the other two gear wheels. There is a gear mechanism that transfers the power from the motor to these wheels here and from here you can control the different attachments. And we have 4 different wheels. We have 2 at the top of the robot and 2 at the front of the robot. So, you can add attachments to each of the wheels and you can then control each of these attachments. So, that was the first feature of the robot and the gear system that controls the attachments. Next we'll continue with the specific attachments.
