Larvy is a SPIKE Prime robot, that moves like a larva or caterpillar. The robot has a Large motor, that contracts and expands it! Using the two medium motors, it turns 4 tyres to their side and upright whenever it wants, so that it can move forward!
A program for the robot can be found here: Program for Larvy - LEGO SPIKE Prime robot
We took a stab at building a box robot entirely with chains. It is difficult to find these chains. They were part of the original LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Robots, but we had an idea. Can we power the whole box robot and all the attachments with the chains. This allows us to do a nice demonstration when and how chains could be used.
To build the robot you will need about 180 of these the chain pars - 3711a. They could be found from NXT and from some technic sets.
This robots require additional parts on top of the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime and LEGO Education SPIKE Essentials. Check out the additional parts required.
Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Active attachment for changing gear orientations
Building instructions for a simple car using an EV3 Large motor for turning the front wheels and EV3 medium motor with differential for driving the rear wheels.
This construction demonstrates one way of using а rack with a gear wheel. It allows to turn circular motion in to a liniar one.
Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 active attachment for changing gears orientations. This is the second attachment from the series.
This is version 2 of the LEGO Mindstorms Grabber. It makes use of 4 gears to make both levers active.
Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Multi-axles mechanism
One LEGO gear is powering two LEGO Gears and at the end, from one motor we rotate two axles in opposite directions. Follow the building instructions.
This LEGO Mindstorms Attachment has three gears, one frame and two axles. The goal of the attachment is to use the gears to change the direction in which the motion is transferred.
Interesting and useful attachment for dropping a LEGO human at a specific location. It uses a lever and a gear wheel. When the lever is pressed the wheel rotates.
The attachment is constructed from LEGO Mindstorms EV3 sets.
Swing game is a SPIKE Prime robot that is a game played by two people. The goal of the game is for both LEGO people to reach the center of the swing, without it tipping over on either side. The LEGO poeple are placed on motors, connected to two technic gear racks, that move along the swing. The motors are moved by two controllers, one using a color sensor and one using a Large motor. If one of the LEGO people moves too far without the other doing the same, the swing will tip and game over! Good luck and have fun!
A similar LEGO attachment the previous once, but this one is with a different gear ratio. Again using a frame, two axles and two gears you can change the direction of the motion.
These are building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 demonstration model. In the tutorial, we are using it to demonstrate the working and relations of LEGO Gears.
If you take a look at the videos for this attachment you will see a nice idea on taking the track and the ambulance. These two vehicles from the FIRST LEGO League 2013 competition had to be collected and returned back to base.
Built from LEGO Mindstorms EV3 parts.
Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms Catapult Motor and Touch Sensor that are used for triggers for firing objects
This is the attachment to accomplish Fll 2019 M06 mission with the Whakatae. You can see how to attach the attachment to the robot in this tutorial to do.
