Program for the EV3 Kiwi bird robot Lintu

This project is for Lintu - a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Kiwi bird robot. The project includes three programs, the first is the main program for the robot. It goes forward until it sees a hand next to its beak, then closes it and returns to the starting point, its nest. The second program is an upgrade: the robot not only closes its beak, but also check if there is "food" in it. Both the checking for food and the returning to starting position are made using the motor rotation sensor.

The last program is a fun one. It makes the robot bite!

How to open?

Programs with extension *.ev3 could be opened EV3 Lab Software sometimes referred to as EV3-G. It could be found throught the EV3 Lab Software section on the LEGO Website.

A robot a "day" keeps the questions awake. Version 2.0 (PRE-RELEASE)

This will be the second version of the course book, "A robot a 'day' keeps the question awake". Currently it is a pre-released. Which means that we are working on it and will release it soon.

1. Build one robot each day;

2. download a ready program;

3. complete three challenges.

The robots, programs and tasks are designed to be used by the student on their own with a really little help from their parents.

Lintu

Here is Lintu. It is a marvelous LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Animal robot that looks like Kiwi, the famous New Zealand bird. It is quite rare to see a Kiwi bird in person. But fear not, we've prepare a robot that looks almost exactly like the original.
