Extract the non-conditional actions from the switch block Pro Preview

After all students finish dumping their resources on the correct points by using the color sensor, take a short break during which discuss the programs they have created. Tell your students that most blocks related to delivering natural gas and transporting gold are the same which means they should not be in the switch block.

The programs students create for solving the last task should look like this:

As you can see, most of the blocks are used in the first case of the switch block as well as in the second one. I.e. blocks will be performed no matter the ball color which means they should not be included in the switch block. Discuss this with your students and make them take all blocks which do not depend on the ball color out of the switch block

At the end you should have a result similar to the following:
