Starting position of the color wheel

In the previous task we saw how difficult it is to reach the goal without knowing where the starting point is. This is a very important lesson. The starting position of the robot is of utmost importance for the successful accomplishment of the tasks. Today’s robot is no exception.

You might have noticed that your robots have a color wheel at the front and a color sensor at the back. We will use the color sensor “to hear” the color from the robot behind. Then, we will use the color wheel to “whisper” the color to the color sensor of the robot in front and so on.

For that purpose, you should choose the starting position of the color wheel. This will be a color which will always be oriented upward. Thus, we will know how much we should rotate the medium motor in order to reach the desired color.

It is important to choose the starting position of our robot in the beginning and make sure we always start the robots from the same position.

After you choose which color you will use as a starting position, set the degrees you will turn the medium motor for each of the colors.
