TL. DR.

When connecting to the Raspberry PI with the Phone the diode will blink to indicate a successfull connection. We use a Bluetooth connection.

Connect indication

The goal, at this step, is to connect the phone with the raspberry pi and to make sure that when connecting with the phone to the Raspberry PI the diode will blink. This is the simplest indication we could implement. When the phone connects to the Raspberry PI the diode will blink.

The diode already blinks when starting up the Raspberry PI?

Yes, it is true. When we power the Raspberry PI and the operating system is loaded the diode will blink. It will also blink when connecting to the Phone. It is possible to use two different diodes for this, but we've decided to use a single diode to make it very very simple.

How to connect?

The connection process is the following

Start the raspberry PI

Open Bluetooth settings on the phone and find the "PerfectPi" device.

Click on the PerfectPi device. It will be automatically paired. Nice. We've done some magic here for this automatic pairing to work without requiring any passwords.

Open the Bluetooth communication application on the phone and you will see the PerfectPi device.

After connecting you will see the diode blink
