This is an alternative model for the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 SUPERPOWERED built only with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime parts. The goal of the model is to be able to experiment and learn without the need to have the real parts, that at this moment are almost impossible to find and gather.
Dominator is a compact LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Box robot from the family of the Roller Coaster and Kiddo box robots. Similar to the previous two robots, Dominator also can move its front part up, down, left and right. This robot also has the same length of movement as its two predecessors of this type - 8 LEGO pins on the side and up.
The difference is that Dominator has fewer parts and has a perfect center of weight that allows it to use large attachments and lift heavy objects without threatening its stability. The movement on the X and Y axes has the same gear ratio. The light sensors are attached to the movable part of the robot which enables it to both follow a line and recognize the color of various object with height lower than 7 LEGO units.
This is an alternative mission model for the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 M11 Hydroelectric Dam mission model. It is a rather complex mission model as it requires the robot to accomplish actions like Lever, Hang, Lift. At the same time it is quite fun.

These are building instructions for one of the greatest LEGO Mindstorms attachments that we've built. Super simple and easy to follow and at the end, you have an attachment with a rubber band that controls a lever and that could lift objects from the field. It could lift them up. With this LEGO Education SPIKE Prime attachment we accomplish the basketball mission from the FIRST LEGO League 2020 RePlay competition. The goal of the mission is to put the ball into the basket and to have the basket up at the end of the round. This is a complex attachment. It uses gear wheels and warm gears to transfer the power from the motor to the top of the attachment. At the top of the attachment there is a wheel with a rope. The rope is build with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime parts. If you have the chance, use a different LEGO rope, but if you don't that this one will be ok.

This is one of the more complex and interesting attachments that we demonstrate in the course and it show how a few gear wheels and levers could be used to change the motion from circular to linear. This is powerful concept that could be very valuable during FIRST LEGO League competitions.
We use this attachment to demonstrate the principle of an active attachment. This is an attachment activated from the motor. It has one level attached to it. It could be reused. The attachment transfers power from the motor to the end of the lever and we can accomplish missions like the Power Switch mission from the FLLCasts Off-season mission models.
