How a Lift attachment accomplishes a loops mission. Demo with Gazon 2.0 Robot from LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor Pro Preview

In this video tutorial we demonstrate a robot attachment that could be used to lift loops and other objects. Almost every year there is a mission at FIRST LEGO League competitions that involve lifting and the principle is interesting. You can build the attachment, robot and mission model from a single LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor 51515 set and learn a principle of building an attachment for lifting.

Why Lifting?

Lifting objects and missions models is challenging. However there is an added benefit - what you get by lifting the object and moving along with the object is that there is no obstruction and there is little change in the object bumping into something, or adding additional friction. Any friction that you have could make the robot more unpredictable. There are also some FLL missions that could only be accomplished by lifting

What do to with this tutorial?

Build the robot, follow the 3D assembly instructions to build the attachment and build the mission model. Download the programs and experiment with them.
