This is how to use the display block to show images with the EV3 software.

The display block

In the green "action" pallette, find the Display block.
By default, the mode of the block is "display file".
From the top right corner choose Lego Images and browse all preset images.
The "Big smile" image is in the "Expressions" folder.

We'll start with the display block and on the display block we'll put a small smiley face.

The robot puts on a smiley face and moves forward to us. Let's see how we do this in the program.

In the software in the green action palette we have a block - the display block. And in this display block in the upper right corner we can click and we can show an image and we select the image. The image that we want to show is in 'Lego Images' > expressions. And we have a big smile. And we have a preview. Or we have a large heart. And you can click on all the others and see them but for now let's stick to big smile. Then we put on the big smile and we move forward. How do we move forward? With the move steering block. Forward for 3 rotations. Download and run.
