Build a robot base to use in the course. You can use the robot base provided by us or you can build one yourself.
The next step of lifting a robot to a mission model is to try to use a rack.
Before moving forward here is the simple task of building the mechanism and extending the legs. Extend the legs to fifteen LEGO units.
Calculate the number of rotations you have to do with the motor to rotate the final small 8 teeth driving gear wheel to 1.25 rotations?
What should you do as a teacher when the students are calculating the gear ratios and number of needed rotations?
Какво е разрешено и какво не при построяване на робота без инструкции.
It's a VEX IQ robot base with all VEX IQ Sensors. The robot has 1 x Gyro, 1 x Ultrasonic, 1x Color Sensor, 2 x Toch Sensors, 1 x Touch Led Sensor.
It's the third version of the VEX IQ Easy Bot with rotated Robot Brain and castor wheel.
It's the second version of the Robot Base 4, but with rotated inside motor.
Our next robot is called CastorBot, because of the castor ball.
For the FIRST LEGO League 2016-2017 Animal Allies we prepared an attachment for lifting the robot. The idea of the attachment is to show how you could lift the whole robot with a system of gear wheels, levers, and scissors constructions.
Built mainly from LEGO Mindstorms EV3 parts but could probably be constructed from NXT sets.
Vex IQ robot base which could be used with different attachments. The gravity center of this robot is in the backside and it has a lot of space in front for attachments.
It's the second version of VEX IQ Easy Bot. It's simple as the first one, but the motors are rotated.
Инструкции за построяването на LEGO Mindstorms EV3 робот, който наричаме CastorBot, тъй като при него се използва метално топче.
This is a very interesting idea that is worth sharing with the rest of the teams and the ELM team has provided it to us. Check out how they drop a LEGO human at a specific place.
Given the large number of gear wheels and axles in each EV3 and NXT sets there are many possibilities for building gear mechanisms. We are developing something like a gear box that has different axles that could all turn in different directions.
In this episode we look at the way this robot is balanced. A well-balanced robot could handle heavier attachments without losing track of its position on the robotics competition field.
We just had some enormous amount of fun with building and using a catapult/trebuchet. Yes they are quite different, but the result achieved in the lesson is something in the middle. Learn how to fire elements using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 or NXT robotics set. Challange yourself, your team or your students to build it and fire elements as far and as accurate as possible.
There are many loops in the FIRST LEGO League competition. In this video we collect some of them by following the idea of the ELM team.
