Let's record the values of the Gyro Sensor while the robot is moving and is trying to keep its orientation straight. This is an interesting experiment and we will have to use file access to write the values to a file.
It's simple. We promise. Just try to program the robot to escape a "maze". It is not a true maze. It actually has only three turns, but hey, you've got to start from somewhere. Place a few objects as shown in the short videos below and use the ultrasonic sensor to escape the maze.
The reason why we have eight timers is that sometimes we may want to reset a timer which starts measuring the time from that point on and not from the start of the program:
The first few tasks from todays lesson are designed for students to complete on their own. This will give the teams that are constructing robots slowly to catch up with the rest before you present any new material. The tasks in this lesson, as always, could be completed in several different ways. It does not matter how students program their robots as long as the robot completes the set task.
