It this episode we would present you with our attachment for lifting the robot.
This module is meant to be used in EV3 Kinesthetic and Memory Game and is attached to the base of the robot. This module uses the gyro sensor to detect when it is hit, by observing the angular rate.
Here we start with a second box robot that we would like to build. It is in a way improvement to the first robot and we would take a look at its features.
In this tutorial, I will cover the adjustments of the display and the color lamp blocks from the LEGO Mindstorms NXT-G. Today I will show you how to use the color lamp in order to make your robot more interesting or how to display sensors values or try to draw something on the screen of the brick.
Based on feedback from many of you in this episode I would like to show you how to build an active attachment that changes the orientation of a gear wheel placed vertically to a gear wheel placed horizontally. This attachment could be used in competitions and shows a basic principle of changing the orientation. All attachments could follow the same principle.
The programs are designed to be used with Mintonet - a LEGO Volleyball robot. The project consists of several programs:
It moves and it collects. It collects objects.
These are building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms robot that could collect objects. It is not actually catching them and that's why we call it "Simple Catch Bot". The general case is to program it to move on the floor and collect some of the Mindstorms wheels and tires coming with the 45544, 45560 or 31313 LEGO sets.
Antares is the brightest star in the Scorpius constellation.
The robot's main purpose is to show two different grabbing mechanisms - one vertical and one horizontal. The vertical pincers use a medium motor and the horizontal pincers use a large motor. Additionally the robot has a sting mechanism which uses another large motor. For a head it uses an EV3 ultrasonic sensor. With the sensor, the robot can sense when the prey is close enough for a suprise attack.
What is allowed and what is not when building without instructions.
