The block has three options. The first one is for the direction, which can be:

  1. Forward, moves the two motors forward at the same speed
  2. Backward, moves the two motors backward at the same speed
  3. Left turn, moves the two motors at different speeds in order for the robot to turn left
  4. Right turn, moves the two motors at different speeds in order for the robot to turn right

After this we have an option for distance, but before we examine it we will take a look at the units in which we measure this distance.

The options for measuring units are the following:

  1. cm, centimeters, the robot moves a given number of centimeters, calculated for the small tires in the box
  2. In, Inches, the robot moves a given number of inches, calculated for the small tires in the box
  3. rotations, the robot moves both its wheels for a given number of revolutions
  4. degrees, the robot moves both its wheels for a given number of degrees, with 360 degrees being 1 rotation
  5. seconds, the robot moves both its wheels for a given number of seconds

Finally we have to determine the length of movement, depending on the measuring unit, that we chose above. Choose the right measuring unit for the task that you have. For example Inches and centimeters if you want your robot to move a determined distance, but only with the small tires. For all measuring units, except seconds, we can use negative numbers to change the direction of movement. If we use negative numbers with the seconds the robot will not move.
