One more example for an active attachment with a system of gear wheels. This time the system is constructed so that the attachment could lift heavy objects.

The fourth attachment for our box robot is on the left of the robot and it's in front of the robot and it works in the following way. It's again just a lever and you can lift this lever or lower this lever. Let's see how it works and what are the different features of this lever.
At the front of the robot we have a wheel and we can control this wheel with the motors. Now we add this pinless attachment and we just add it like this. and it's ready. And it's ready for working and accomplishing different missions. What's interesting is that when you move with this attachment and you try to activate the lever it is very important how the gear system here is constructed. We've contstructed this gear system so that it can lift heavier parts for example, it can lift this ambulance again from Nature's Fury mission. So you can just move, come to the ambulance and you can from here lift the ambulance. And take it and move it with you. Like this. The mission there was to return the ambulance to the base and it's a simple idea for returning the ambulance to the base. If the load on the attachment is very high so it's a heavier object what will happen here and that's very important is if the load is very heavy, if I continue rotating, you can see that the lever does not move forward. And there is some pressure from the lever to my hand.
The whole attachment that's the pinless attachment here will not move up but will stay down. And this depends on how the two wheels here that are working together this wheel here and the wheel here. How are they connected so that the whole attachment stays on the robot? Even when the load is very heavy. If I now continue, the load you can see is very heavy but the motor actually pushes the whole attachment down to the robot.
Now, that's an interesting feature because if we construct the attachment in another way what will happen is something like this. You can see that if I try to rotate in the reverse direction to push something down what will happen is that the attachment will move up. And that's not very stable. So, you must decide whether you would like with this attachment to push something down or to lift something up. And from then you must decide on the different ways to connect the gear wheels here. You can also prepare other frames for your competition. And you can have just a number of different frames with attachments that when the specific mission comes you just remove this, add the next.
