Today you will construct a robot that uses gear wheels for multiple different reasons:

  • for speed - the robot uses gear wheeels to increase the rotation speed generated by the motor;
  • for doing multiple actions simultaneously - the robot uses gear wheels to perform two simultaneous actions with one motor only;
  • for transforming rotational motion into linear - this is not a genuine use of the gear wheel, but still. 
  • for torque
  • turntable for rotating the mechanism

Can you show each of the above-mentioned applications on the robot?
