Touch sensor

The touch sensor, in simple terms, is a key, such as the lamp key, which closes the electric circuit and allows the flow of current.

Programming the touch sensor

Put an ordinary wait block and then choose the touch sensor from the list:

Default port

This sensor connects to port 1, if you use the default settings.

What can the touch sensor sense

After you put the block, you have to choose the condition the sensor will wait for in order to move to the next block:

The robot can wait for the following conditions related to the touch sensor:

  • Pressed - The touch sensor button is pressed (pressed by the student or by an obstacle;
  • Released - The touch sensor button is released (this is the usual state of the sensor, the obstacle in no longer in the way of the robot);
  • Bumped - The touch sensor button is pressed and then released (two actions in one).
