How a Quick pinless attachment collects parts. Part 1. Demo with Gazon 2.0 Robot from LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor Pro Preview

In this video tutorial we demonstrate the user of a quick 'pinless' attachment. As all pinless attachment it is not that they are completely pinless, but that they do not require the "click" of the pins that is often difficult to achieve in a quick pace environment as during FIRST LEGO League competition rounds.

What to do with this tutorial?

Download the program, build the attachment and the robot, as they are all from a single set of LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor 51515 set and experiment with accomplishing the mission.

English

In this tutorial, we take a loop and this loop could be positioned anywhere on the field. And we use a LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor robot along with a pinless attachment. And we call it quick pinless attachment that's placed on the robot. Let's see how the attachment works. First, it is pinless, which means that you can see just with one hand. I take the attachment from the robot and I put it back on the robot very fast. No place for mistake there for an error. It's extremely easy to use this attachment. The attachment, it has a few pins and we use them for alignment. Replace it on the brick and the attachment is ready to work. We move with the attachment. It has an axle pointing forward. We move, we reach the loop. It could be anywhere on the field and we take the loop.

Then we can even turn and the loop will not fall. Now, of course, we should look at the specifics of programming, and there is an additional course that we are providing just for programming the LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventors. But the goal of this tutorial is to demonstrate the attachment. We moved it with the attachment, we reach the loop, we somehow lock the loop with the attachment, and then we can move freely with the robot and with the attachment.

Let's try it one more time. The loop is right here, locked, and we can even turn with the robot. And because there is a small part on the front, it won't.
