Fundamental Idea of this module
In this module, we can introduce a few fundamental concepts to the students.
The concept of acceleration and the concept of inertia.
We will also work on the patience of the students to be precise and careful with what they do, a life-skill.
Another very important concept in the learning process is revisiting past material. Repeating and expanding concepts helps students remember.
In practice
We are going to repeat adjusting power to a move block and we are going to use the "coast" option in the same block. The one that is "Break at end: False".
In order to engage the students, we give them the challenge to bring a glass of water from a water source to a person.
But they should not actually carry a glass of water!
English
The first rule for caring a cup of water with a robot is: 'Don't carry a cup of water with the robot!' Just we use this as an example. We can imagine that it's actually a cup of water but keep the water out of the robots and out of the children because it could get messy and very wet. So, for the task we'll use a LEGO construction and this LEGO construction looks like a cup of water. You can see that probably they are similar. Okey. The next thing about the teacher is that in this module we'll introduce the students to some fundamental concepts like acceleration and inertia. We'll also work on the patience of the students so that they could be precise and very careful on what they do. And this I think is a life skill. Another very important concept of learning is revising the past material. Repeating and expanding the concepts help the student understand and remember. And we've used the robots for moving and we've controlled the motors but now we'll enter into more details and in this way we'll revise and we'll practice the same theory. We are also going to adjust the power of the Move block and we are going to use the coast option of the same block. We've done a few videos for the coast option but in this section we'll enter into more details. And finally in order to engage the students again we give them the challenge to bring a cup of water from a water source somewhere here to a person somewhere here but we are not using the cup of water. We are using a LEGO construction.
