Building Instructions

In all building instructions for LEGO robots it is important to have the motors attached to the brick in more than one place. In the following construction, there is a beam connecting the two motors which has exactly this purpose. It makes the construction much more stable. Try removing this beam for example and see what will happen. Would the robot be able to move?

Many different types of wheels could be used. Both NXT and EV3 or from other LEGO technic series.

Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot where the motors are at the back of the horizontally placed brick and they are placed vertically. This construction is difficult to turn with but at the same time is quite high and could be used as a base for different trucks or animals. 

Not all LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robot should be aligned horizontally or vertically. It is quite possible to have the brick and the motors attached in such a way that the robot is at a certain angle. 

This is a very useful small construction that could be used as a base and extended with hands and heads or other interesting ....robot body parts.

Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot where the motors are placed in an unusual manner. They are vertically placed on the sides. This robot construction base is very convenient for a quick and interesting robot on which you could build. 

There are so many ways to attach the motor to a Mindstorms Brick. We haven't counted them, but we sure like to experiment with them. This is one way. Not the perfect, not very stable sometimes, but you could also learn from prototypes and "mistakes". And the LEGO brick is on the same level as the motors. Follow the building constructions and have the motors attached to the sides of this Mindstorms Base construction. 

The third version of the EV3 Easy Bot. This is a simple and easy to follow robot, that aims at showing the use of tyres on robots. The robot has a gear up ratio and no tyres, so it is quite fast and entertaining.

Another building instruction for a third wheel suitable for a LEGO Mindstroms robot. This one is classical. Just a few parts but could be used on a lot of different robots. There is some friction when turning so this one is more suitable if you have to do more straight movements.
