Unpacking the VEX EDR set and learning the names of the different parts included in the set
The next challenge of the course is to build a container where you could store the balls (objects) that you are collecting. The first thing is to see how it works as an end result. You can use the same principle during FIRST Technical Challenge competitions. You can also fire the balls, just by rotating the axle in reverse.
Note for the teacher on making the construction more stable, more durable and using beams for this.
The tutorial is about what are the parts that you should buy to have the Ball Collecting mechanism.
The length of the lever has a certain effect when hitting the ball. In this tutorial, I would like to discuss what it's the effect.
Why we change the robots all the time and what to observe in each new robot.
The topic of this tutorial is the purpose of a system of gears when throwing a ball.
Following the principles from the previous video, try to make the attachment that you've built, more stable and durable.
In the previous video, we found the correct answer for our task and it is 18.75, or is it?
Find a plastic element. Cut it to 200mm by 140mm and attach this plastic plate to the front of our FIRST Technical Challenge Tetrix Robot.
In this robotics tutorial, we give a few notes for the teacher about adding an axle to the front of the FTC robot and attaching a plastic plate to this axle to make the robot collect balls.
In this video, we introduce two pieces: beam with pins and the angular beam with pins
Display a matrix on the brick screen. Simple and easy. Download and run the program to see how
There are modifications that you must do on the FTC PushBot robot. Let's discuss them
How to add a plastic plate to the FIRST Technical Challenge Robot build with Tetrix. The plastic plate is for collecting the balls. The plate should rotate and should be connected to the axle.
With the last few videos, we entered the math world. Why we do it and what to keep in mind
What is a single, and what is two degrees of freedom
How to construct an axle with a plastic plate connected to this axle and make this plate rotate and collect balls.
In this robotics tutorial, we would discuss the length of the pipe and its dimensions. These are general considerations for every container on a FIRST Technical Challenge competition.
Let's attach the ball storing pipe to the FTC robot. In previous tutorials, I've shown you the complete robot, but for this, I've removed the pipe and will show you how to attach it.
In this tutorial, we record an example of how to cut the pipe to the desired length with a hacksaw. Cutting with a hacksaw is very common during FIRST Technical Challenge Preparation
Attach an axle to the front of the robot. Find a similar one, or modify the FTC Tetrix robot to accommodate the new axle.
In this robotics tutorial, we present a solution to extending a VEX IQ attachment to handle two hex balls at a time
