Football with robots could be quite fun. Football with LEGO Mindstorms robots is one of the popular categories for competitions with LEGO Mindstorms Robots. 

In this tutorial, we record an example of how to cut the pipe to the desired length with a hacksaw. Cutting with a hacksaw is very common during FIRST Technical Challenge Preparation

This is the task for you. We've shown you in the previous tutorials how to do it, how to use a drill and a hacksaw and a grinding stone to cut and shape a PVC pipe. Now it's your turn. Don't forget to show us pictures -> right here in the comments section

Find a plastic element. Cut it to 200mm by 140mm and attach this plastic plate to the front of our FIRST Technical Challenge Tetrix Robot.

Attach an axle to the front of the robot. Find a similar one, or modify the FTC Tetrix robot to accommodate the new axle. 

One of the very common tasks on different FIRST Technical Challenge competitions is to collect objects. In this case, these are colourful specifically shaped plastic object or in simple terms - balls.

Build a rack and try to lift the robot with this rack. 

Our next robot is called CastorBot, because of the castor ball.

Connect the attachment to the box robot and find the correct number of rotations of the middle motor that would bring the robot up and forward and would attach it to the mission model.

Calculate the number of rotations you have to do with the motor to rotate the final small 8 teeth driving gear wheel to 1.25 rotations?

The important task before the solution. If you haven't done it already, then attach a new axle at the front of the robot and extend the construction with gear wheels and axles to reach the two legs at the two sides of the robot. 

Try to build the attachment following the instructions. Use it to actually solve a mission from any competition (like taking loops)

Here is the task for adding a beam on both sides of every gear wheel in your attachment.

Experiment with changing the orientation and direction of gear wheels. Here are part of the tasks that you should complete before moving forward with the course.

In this episode we will show you how to build the FiveMinuteBot. We will make a quick overview of this Mindstorm Robot.

Build a similar mechanism to this one. Similar, but for your robot. This is the task for you. Try, give yourself half and hour or even an hour.

What is the end result? - have the attached on the mission model. What is the mechanism the would make the robot hang on the mission model.

Build a robot base to use in the course. You can use the robot base provided by us or you can build one yourself. 

The FIRST LEGO League competition is similar each year. With a little experience you could accomplish most of mission. The goal of this episode is to introduce you to the course, its purpose and approach.  

Let's move with the VEX EDR robot using its motors, the wheels and some RobotC programming. We devide the program in three parts - Connect the motors, program the controller and turning.

Overview of what is going to happen in module 3

The robot uses one middle motor. This middle motor with the use of a few gear systems controls for different axsels. We have attached wheels on this axles so it is very easy to extend the robot construction for additional LEGO Mindstorms active attachments

Here we start with a second box robot that we would like to build. It is in a way improvement to the first robot and we would take a look at its features. 

It's a box! It's a robot! It's a box robot.  Box robots are very popular on different robotics competitions involving LEGO Mindstorms like the FIRST LEGO League or World Robotics Olympiad. Let's start with a brief introduction and continue in the next videos with explanation on the features of the robot and why such robots are frequently used.

We are working on the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) 2013 competition and its elementary part. The series will introduce three different concepts and this would be Arrays, Menus and Counting different lines. In the video you will see the robot working as it is in the final stage.
