Every time we start the robot we want to start from the same place, not only in terms of where we are on the field but also in terms of how are the motors rotate. The motors have an internal sensor for detecting the rotation. Because of this they know how rotated they are. It is a very good practice to always reset the motors before we start a competition run especially at FIRST LEGO League or World Robot Olympiad competitions

In this video tutorial we will reach a specific location on the field 10 times. This programs demonstrates the accuracy and consistency of a program that used the Motion Sensor to detect the angle at which the robot rotates. At the end of the tutorial you will have a visual and clear picture of what you could expect from this basic usage in terms of consistency and accuracy. This might be enough for some cases and it might not be enough for others.

This videos tutorials demonstrated the robot accuracy in 10 runs one after the other. 5 of them are with the robot moving slow and 5 are with the robot moving fast. See for your self what is the accuracy achieved only with the move blocks of the robot.

In this tutorial we demonstrate how accurate the robot is when we are moving it slow vs when moving it fast. The point of the tutorial is to show that moving slowly is generally much more accurate. It is not accurate enough for a FIRST LEGO League competition, but if you have to move without the use of the sensors you can at least move slow.

The LEGO Mindstorms EV3 set comes with two LARGE motors. But even though these motors look almost the same they are not quite the same. There are always some differences in their behaviour. If you have more than two motors, because you bought them or you won them somewhere at a competition, it is worth doing an experiment to find which pair of motors works best.

By using the GamePad to control the arm with could lift it and return it back. The main problem with controlling the arm is that if you just use the motors you would hit the robot, bend the axles and breaks the gear wheels. We would use the distance sensor to make the arm move without hitting the robot.

In this tutorial, we are controlling the FTC Tetrix robot with the two sticks of the same GamePad. The left stick is for forward and backwards, while the right stick is for left and right.

The more advanced task is to more in a polygon. This would require calculating the degree of each of the turns and RobotC is a language in which you could implement this math calculation very easily.

In this tutorial, we set the task of implementing another figure with the robot - a triangle. 

The previous tutorial showed you how to copy/paste instructions in RobotC. The current video will introduce you to loops. 

We start with the previous program where we made the robot move forward and turn. We continue in this tutorial with repeating the same RobotC instructions four times. Our goal is to make the robot move in a square.

To prepare the robot to move in a square and to use a loop in the program we would first make this VEX EDR robot move forward and turn, using a program developed with RobotC.

In this tutorial we would introduce you to the concept of loops using this VEX EDR Robot. As a final result we would have a program that makes the robot move in a square and not by repeating the same instructions for move and turn four different times.

Spinning with the VEX EDR robot involves the use of both motors. The left and the right. Every robot with wheels could spin and this makes not exceptions.
